Celebrating 11 Years in our Community!
Lana Button is a children's author, freelance writer and early childhood educator. Lana has worked with young children for more than twenty years and has contributed child development articles to national magazines including Today's Parent and ParentsCanada. But Lana's passion is picture books! Her first picture book, Willow's Whispers was a 2010 Blue Spruce Nominee and a 2011 Shining Willow Nominee.
Lana is from the tiny border town of St. Stephen, New Brunswick, and she makes her home in Burlington with her husband and three daughters.
When Willow speaks, her words slip out as soft and shy as a secret. At school, her barely audible whisper causes her no end of troubles. But Willow is as resourceful as she is quiet, and she fashions a magic microphone from items she finds in the recycling bin.
But Willow's clever invention is only a temporary solution. How will this quiet little girl make herself heard?
