Carolyn Beck grew up in Rosemere, a small town outside Montreal, Quebec. It was the prize in third grade for her story "Petulia, the Petunia" that cemented Carolyn's dream of becoming a writer. But that dream remained just that. There were more prizes, but for years and years writing for Carolyn was just snitches and snatches of this and that. Jottings, not plottings. Until one day, submerged in the wonderful chaos of her own family, complete with child and dog, her literary efforts began to focus. "Oh, no!" she cried, "don't tell me I'm a poet!" Currently she divides her time between freelance accounting work, homelife, and writing all sorts of quirky things, including stuff with plots.
