Saskatoon will hold their second annual The Word On The Street festival on September 23, 2012.

The festival held a Preview Event on Sunday, September 26, 2010.  The first full-fledged festival was held on Sunday, September 25, 2011.

The Preview was the initiative of a group of individuals who had a vision that Saskatoon would benefit from this literary and educational festival. 

On October 7, 2010 The Word On The Street Saskatoon Inc. became a non-profit organization.
