The Dead Kid Detective Agency

Being thirteen is hard enough, but October Schwartz has the deck stacked against her: she’s new in town, she’s starting grade nine early at Sticksville Central High (where her clinically depressed single father is a teacher), and she looks different from most kids, being a bit chubby, and fond of the Goth look. Feeling isolated October spends most of her time working on her horror novel in the Sticksville Cemetery. It’s in the cemetery that October encounters the ghosts of 5 dead teenagers. Each of the dead kids died mysteriously at the age of thirteen during different eras in Canadian history. Capitalizing on October’s smarts and the dead kids’ ability to walk through walls, this motley crew forms The Dead Kid Detective Agency. Their first case: investigate the suspicious death of beloved French teacher Mr. O’Shea.
