Frances Itani, Member of the Order of Canada, is the author of award-winning novels, short stories and poetry. Her bestselling novels Deafening and Remembering the Bones have been published internationally. Her latest novel, Requiem, tells the story of a Japanese Canadian artist whose childhood was spent in an internment camp in B.C.
