Jack Batten

Jack Batten has written a great many magazine pieces and some 35 books, including a recent series of award-winning children’s non-fiction titles. His two most recent books are reissues of two of his own whodunits from the late ’80s, Crang Plays the Ace and Straight No Chaser. Jack’s biweekly Whodunit review column on crime fiction has appeared in the Star’s book pages since 1999.
