Tanya Talaga is a provincial affairs writer at the Star’s Queen’s Park Bureau. Before covering provincial affairs, she was a health reporter at the Star for 8 years. During that time she covered the SARS crisis, medical advances and the Walkerton disaster. She has twice been a finalist for the Governor General’s Michener Awards for public service journalism.
