Appointed a member of the Order of Canada in 1995, Terence Dickinson is the author of 14 astronomy books that have sold more than two million copies worldwide. He is a former staff astronomer at the McLaughlin Planetarium in Toronto and has been a regular guest expert on CBC Radio and the Canadian Discovery Channel for many years. In 1994, one of the asteroids in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter was officially named “Dickinson” in his honour by the International Astronomical Union for his ability to explain the universe in everyday language.
