Martha Baillie has been published in Canada, Germany and Hungary. Her latest novel, The Incident Report, was released in spring 2009.

Peter Bailey

Peter Bailey is a graduate of the Humber Theatre Performance Program. His theatre credits include: Angelique (Hart House Theatre), A World Without Shadows (Blyth Festival), and Come Good Rain (Black Theatre Workshop).

Elizabeth Baird is the Executive Food Editor of Canadian Living Magazine and was the magazine’s food editor for more than 20 years. She is Canada’s foremost expert on Canadian cooking and the foods of Canada.

Linwood Barclay

Linwood Barclay is a former columnist for the Toronto Star and the author of several critically acclaimed novels, including Too Close to Home and No Time for Goodbye, a #1 Sunday Times (UK) bestseller. 

Gail Bebee

Gail Bebee speaks and writes on personal finance with the goal of helping others invest profitably. She provides an independent voice on personal finance for Canadians. Gail is owner and president of the book publisher, The Ganneth Company.

Helaine Becker

Helaine Becker is the award-winning author of Science on the Loose, Boredom Blasters, and Secret Agent Y.O.U. She lives in Toronto.

Nik Beeson

Nik Beeson is a com-poser of tall tales. He confabulates comfortably in poetry, prose, songs or soundscapes. He especially enjoys collaborative confabulation.

Laura Beingessner

Laura Beingessner is the illustrator of three books for children, including the award-winning If the Shoe Fits, a New York Publicity Library’s 100 Titles for Reading and Sharing pick.

Tim Beiser

Author, Tim Beiser, has had many day jobs: a pastry chef, an architectural draftsman, a college teacher, a waiter, a nightclub performer, a computer repairman, and an emergency medical technician. Tim received a B.A.A. in Journalism from Ryerson University and started a career as a freelance magazine writer. Bradley McGogg, the Very Fine Frog is his first book for children.

Paul Bellini

Paul Bellini is a Canadian comedy writer and television actor. He has published more than 100 articles for the Toronto-based magazine fab.

John Bemrose

John Bemrose’s first novel, The Island Walkers, was a national bestseller and a finalist for the Giller Prize. Bemrose is also well known as an arts journalist whose articles and profiles have appeared regularly in Maclean’s, where he is a contributing editor. He lives in Toronto.

Steve Bereznai

Steve Berezani lives in Toronto. He is a former editor-in-chief of fab magazine and Fab Style Quarterly.

Stuart Berman

Stuart Berman is an editor at EYE WEEKLY, and has been writing about the Toronto music scene for ten years. His writing on music and pop culture has appeared in PitchforkMedia.com, Magnet, The Village Voice, Toro, Azure, Toronto Star and the National Post. He lives in Toronto.

Jared Bland

Before joining The Walrus in 2007, Jared Bland studied twentieth-century poetry and poetic theory at the University of Toronto. He sits on the board of directors of PEN Canada, and is a member of the International Visitors Committee in association with the International Festival of Authors.

Kathryn Borel Jr.

Kathryn Borel Jr. is a producer for CBC Radio's Q. Her popular monthly wine reviews appear on CBC Radio's Fresh Air. Her first book, Corked, which details a wine-soaked trip through France with her father, was released in September 2009.

Leah-Simone Bowen

Leah-Simone Bowen divides her time between directing, playwriting, improvising and acting. She is the Community Liaison for Native Earth Performing Arts. 

Dionne Brand

Dionne Brand’s most recent novel, What We All Long For, was published to great acclaim in 2005. Her work of poetry, Land to Light On, won the Trillium Book Award in 1997.

Darrell Bricker

Darrell Bricker is the CEO of Ipsos Global Public Affairs. Prior to joining Ipsos Reid, Bricker was director of public-opinion research in the office of the prime minister.

Tanya Bryan

Tanya Bryan is a writer and poet based in Toronto. She is currently working on a book of poetry for children. 

Bonnie Burnard

Bonnie Burnard’s first novel, A Good House, won the Scotiabank Giller Prize and the CBA People’s Choice Award and was published around the world in many languages. A recipient of the Marian Engel Award, Burnard lives in London, Ontario.
