Special News: We're teaming up with the Vancouver Global ComedyFest on our Mainstage to present an exciting and entertaining roster of comedy skits and musical performances. Check back soon for performer line-ups and schedule of events!

Library Square Marketplace

Exhibitors can be found at tents and tables all over the festival site.

There are tents on Homer Street (including Magazine Mews), Hamilton Street (aka Literacy Lane) and inside the library (including The Word Under the Street).

Family Fun

There is lots going on all over the festival for families. Check out book and magazine exhibitors in the Marketplace; take in a YA reading, or storytelling by a local librarian; and check out the Family Literacy Tent. You don't want to miss a thing so check out our Family Page as well as the What's On schedules!

Celebrate Literacy

The Word on the Street Vancouver is dedicated to promoting reading and literacy throughout the community.

On Hamilton Street (aka Literacy Lane) you will find our Family Literacy Tent full of information and activities for the whole family. The Family Literacy Tent encourages adult literacy and encourages children to develop a lifelong passion for writing and reading.
