W.H. New’s many books include Borderlands, Grandchild of Empire, Touching Ecuador, The Year I Was Grounded and Underwood Log, a finalist for the Governor General’s Award for Poetry. New will read from The Rope-Maker's Tale in the Poetry Tent.

Cynthia Nugent

Cynthia Nugent is a nationally recognized and award-winning children’s book author and illustrator. Her first book, Mister Got To Go, is considered a Canadian classic and all of her books have been on the Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s Our Choice lists. Nugent will read from Fred and Pete at the Beach in the Kids Tent.
