WOTS 11th Annual Book Bag Treasure Hunt

It's back! Purchase an official WOTS book bag for $20 and collect free merchandise at the participating exhibitors displaying the book bag symbol.

These amazing "self-filling" book bags are available only at the festival information/merchandise booths on site and there are only 250 to be sold, so early queuing is essential.

If you are lucky enough to get one, please bear in mind that the participating exhibitors not only donate these items at their own expense but may be busy with customers when you find their booth. Your courtesy and patience when collecting the freebies is greatly appreciated and goes a long way to ensuring this promotion continues year to year.

T-shirts, hats, and more!

Don't miss out on getting WOTS Vancouver t-shirts, ball-caps and more available for sale at the Info Booths! We also have discounts on past WOTS Vancouver merchandise.

For a TOONIE : Become a Member

Visit an Info Booth or one of the roving jester-hatted volunteers to participate in one of the best deals on site.

  1. For $2, become a member of the Vancouver Book & Magazine Fair Society. You'll get next year's program in the mail and be invited to the Annual General Meeting.
  2. Fill out the same form and help us make the festival better by telling us what you think about it and tell us a few other things about yourself. Don't worry: Your information won't be shared and we use the data only for good.
  3. Drop your completed form and a toonie into a bucket at any reading venue. You'll be entered to win a WOTS 2009 Library. That's a copy of nearly EVERY BOOK FEATURED at the festival!

7th annual Kids Only Scavenger Hunt

It's back and here's how it works:

First, purchase a Kids Only Scavenger Hunt card at one of the Info Tents on site ($1). Then, answer the 10 questions on it. When you're done, take the completed card to the CBC Television Tent on Hamilton Street to collect a cool prize! Here's the catch: There are only 150 cards available. Plus, you'll have to read the program and wander around the festival site to answer all the questions, so be sure to wear comfy shoes and keep your eyes peeled!
